WINDHOEK, 05 JAN (NAMPA) – The provisional results for 2016 Grade 12 Ordinary Level examinations will be released on 12 January 2017, earlier than in previous years.
Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture Public Relations Officer, Johanna Absalom told Nampa on Thursday that with the National Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) Ordinary Level results coming out earlier than in previous years, the government agency feels they have made progress in marking and processing examination data.
A media statement issued the same day indicated that 51 120 candidates comprising 21 104 full-time and 30 016 part-time were registered for the Grade 12 NSSC Ordinary Level examination at 175 senior secondary schools and 122 part-time tuition centres.
“Eight hundred and twelve markers were involved in the marking of the Grade 12 answer scripts, seven more markers compared to the 805 who were involved in 2015,” the statement read.
Examination results will be available through a text message service and on the ministry’s website from 00h15 on Thursday, 12 January 2017.
Candidates can also visit the regional offices of the ministry during office hours to obtain their results.
