Omaheke thieves on the run

GOBABIS, 29 DEC (NAMPA) – The vehicle found abandoned with goods worth over N.dollars 300 000 next to the Dordabis road on Saturday, belongs to the female owner of Farm Springville in the Du Plessis area of the Omaheke Region.
Acting Head of Namibian Police Force Public Relations Division, Inspector Tashiya Kadhila announced the discovery of the vehicle and goods during a media briefing here on Monday.
It has since been established that the white Nissan NP300 pickup vehicle belongs to Elize van Niekerk, 36, from the farm situated some 85 kilometres outside Gobabis.
The goods found in the car were stolen from the farm on Saturday. It includes rifles, two flat screen television sets, two digital cameras, assorted jewellery, a Samsung J-5 mobile phone, a DSTv decoder, N.dollars 500 cash, N.dollars 400 worth of mobile phone recharge vouchers and shotgun rounds.
The suspects in the theft are yet to be arrested, the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in Gobabis said Thursday.
The matter is under investigation.
