SWAKOPMUND, 22 DEC (NAMPA) – An employee of the G4S Security Company in Swakopmund shot and killed a man at a house in Tulinawa, Mondesa on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as 27-year-old Brendon Keramin.
“It is not yet clear why the suspect shot the deceased as the two never argued,” Detective Chief Inspector Erastus Iikuyu told Nampa on Thursday.
Iikuyu said the deceased was lying on a bed watching television with his cousin who shares a room with the suspect, when the suspect stormed in and shot Keramin below the right armpit with a service revolver.
Keramin died on the spot at about 16h20.
The detective said the 30-year-old suspect showed up at the house with a work vehicle in the company of his colleague.
“After the shooting the suspect was disarmed by his colleague and was arrested shortly afterwards,” Iikuyu said.
The next of kin were informed and police investigations continue.
The suspect is expected before court on Friday.
