G2Gold Mine donates to Otjiwarongo police

OTJIWARONGO, 21 DEC (NAMPA) - The Otjiwarongo police roadblock on Wednesday received a donation of 20 reflective jackets and 20 orange road cones to increase the visibility of officers operating there.
Security Superintendent of the Otjikoto B2Gold Mine, Phillipus Haidula handed over the road safety materials to the Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Otjozondjipa acting regional police commander, Deputy Commissioner Moses Khairabeb.
The roadblock is situated about four kilometres north of Otjiwarongo, while the mine is situated approximately 70 kilometres north of the town.
B2Gold also donated a battery for the police’s blue light mounted at the roadblock and a digital still camera for the Otavi Police Station on their request.
“This is all done in support of the efforts of our police officers who are working hard to keep us safe on the public roads,” said B2Gold Mine Public Relations’ Coordinator, Kaanduka Nghipandulwa.
Khairabeb thanked the company and said the police will continue working hard to keep the public roads safe for everyone, while motorists are expected to drive carefully and adhere to traffic laws.
