WINDHOEK, 13 DEC (NAMPA) – Disclosure of the year-end performance review of the Harambee Prosperity Plan (HPP) during 2016 is Tuesday underway at State House.
President Hage Geingob is delivering a post-mortem on progress made between April and September 2016 to Cabinet ministers and members of the media.
The HPP is Government’s development plan from 2016 to 2020 during Geingob’s tenure in office and focuses on poverty alleviation, wealth redistribution and Namibia’s industrialisation amongst many factors of development.
Launching the plan of action in April this year, Geingob declared 2016 as the year of implementation with inclusivity of all Namibians.
He is Tuesday expected to touch on the transparency, social and economic achievements and shortcomings of the HPP during the initial stages of implementation.
The Head of State is at his last media conference for this year flanked by Prime Minister, Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila and Vice-President, Nickey Iyambo.
