Woman found dead in mahangu field

OSHAKATI, 09 DEC (NAMPA) - The body of a 22-year-old woman was found in her father’s mahangu field in Omunyele village of the Omusati Region on Friday morning.
She has been identified as Tresia Likeukeni Angula, who hails from the same village.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Spokesperson for the Omusati Region, Warrant Officer Lineekela Shikongo told Nampa the deceased was stabbed nine times - once on the forehead, six times in the throat, once below her right breast and once in the breast.
She died on the spot.
The body was found lying on the western boundary of the field by the deceased’s younger sister, who was on her way to the neighbours between 08h00 and 09h00.
A police report revealed the deceased was last seen Thursday around 21h00 at a shebeen where she was employed as a bar lady.
Her next of kin have been informed and police investigations continue.
