Windhoek Country Club refurbishing all rooms: Thieme

WINDHOEK, 08 DEC (NAMPA) - The Windhoek Country Club Resort (WCCR) and Casino has since April 2016 been refurbishing all 152 rooms using money from the company’s cash reserves.
The completion of the refurbishment is envisaged for end of April 2017 at a total cost of N.dollars 56.9 million.
WCCR Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Sven Thieme said this on Wednesday at the official announcement of the company's 2015/2016 financial results, ending 30 April 2016.
Government, the only shareholder, received a dividend of N.dollars 5 million for the 2015/2016 financial year.
Speaking at the announcement of the divided to the State, Thieme said more exciting news is the WCCR plans to carry out a full refurbishment on the casino toilets, casino bar, deli, entrance, and Kokerboom Restaurant during the 2016/2017 financial year at a cost of N.dollars 3 million.
Scheduled completion is also April 2017.
Thieme said the WCCR plans to install solar panels on the roof of the hotel from January or February 2017 at an approximate cost of N.dollars 4 million.
