City of Windhoek gets new CEO

WINDHOEK, 06 DEC (NAMPA) – The City of Windhoek (CoW) has officially announced that Robert Kahimise has been appointed as its chief executive officer (CEO).
The announcement was made at a media briefing by CoW Corporate Communications Manager Joshua Amukogo on Monday, who said Kahimise will assume his new position on 01 February 2017.
Kahimise, who is currently CEO of the Erongo Regional Electricity Distributor, replaces Niilo Taapopi whose term came to an end in 2014.
Taapopi served the City for two terms of five years since 2004.
The CoW has been without a CEO since 2014.
