REHOBOTH, 01 DEC (NAMPA) - The suspect in the murder of Camila Gabriela Steyn, who was found dead at a construction site at Rehoboth in November, made his third appearance in the Rehoboth Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Eldrin Goliath, 20, appeared before Magistrate Salome Bampton on charges of murder and robbery.
The case was remanded to 17 January 2017 to allow for investigations in the matter to be concluded.
Prosecutor Victor Mutumbulwa recommended that the matter be postponed due to incomplete investigations and outstanding post-mortem results, lab results, as well as three witness statements still to be obtained.
Steyn, 17, was killed between 01h00 and 05h00 on 06 November 2016 in the Block B residential area. She was found inside a building under construction.
Steyn had scratch marks on her face and neck, and the suspicion is that she might have been strangled to death.
The accused was represented by lawyer Nhinda Ndaudika in court Wednesday.
Goliath remains in custody.
