Nored auditing electricity network

ONGWEDIVA, 14 NOV (NAMPA) – The Northern Regional Electricity Distribution Company (Nored) is conducting a network audit project that will amongst others see customer information verified.
The company’s public relations officer, Herman Ngasia in a media statement availed to Nampa over the weekend appealed to members of the public to cooperate with the audit teams for the duration of the project, which is expected to take place over one year.
“Allowing the Nored network audit team access to your premises will help the company to accomplish the project objective and ensure a sustained and improved quality of supply for all customers,” read the statement.
Audit teams are expected to amongst others verify customer information and information on electricity meters.
Emcon Consulting Engineers have been contracted to carry out the audit, which commenced last Wednesday at Opuwo in the Kunene Region.
The audit team members are expected to have identification cards that bear both the Nored and Emcon logos on their person at all times.
Nored’s operations in the Oshana, Ohangwena, Omusati, Oshikoto, Kavango West, Kavango East and Zambezi regions will also be covered by the project.
