Man commits suicide after quarrel with boss

OSHAKATI, 11 NOV (NAMPA) - A man allegedly committed suicide at Omuthiya in the Oshikoto Region on Thursday after an argument with his aunt, who is also his boss.
The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Jackson Kavale.
Police reports by Oshikoto Regional Deputy Commissioner Naomi Katjiua on Thursday said after the argument at work, Kavale went home and sent a text message to a colleague, stating that he had left the job and was going to commit suicide.
He was later found dead in his room, hanging from the ceiling with a rope around his neck.
His next of kin have been informed.
In an unrelated matter at Okankolo in the same region, a man died in the Oshakati State Hospital on 04 November after being assaulted.
The deceased is 48-year-old Simon Immanuel.
A post-mortem conducted on Thursday found the cause of death is head injuries.
His next of kin have been informed.
The suspect is known to the police but has not yet been arrested. The control prosecutor now has to decide on how to proceed with the case.
Meanwhile, a case of reckless and/or negligent driving is being investigated by the Omuthiya police after a 9-year-old girl was bumped while crossing the road between Omuthiya and Oshivelo while on her way from school on Thursday.
The girl broke her arm.
Police investigations continue.
