Some Omeya accident victims identified

WINDHOEK, 09 NOV (NAMPA) – The names of four of the six people who died in an accident along the Windhoek-Rehoboth road in the early hours of Tuesday, have been released by the police.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson, Inspector Slogan Matheus on Wednesday told Nampa the deceased are Mulapo Ndjwaghu, 46; Daniel Fulayi, 33; Haingura Mujeu, 29; and Emergad Haisindi, 47; all of whom were from villages in the Kavango East and West regions.
Five other people sustained serious injuries and 13 suffered minor injuries.
The accident took place between midnight and 01h00.
Preliminary investigations indicate the Iveco bus transporting the 24 passengers including driver hit a tree near the Omeya Golf Estate when it swerved to avoid hitting a cow in the road.
The bus had 24 passengers and was en route from Rundu to Noordoewer in the //Kharas Region.
