Teenager allegedly raped by uncle at Sesfontein

SESFONTEIN, 07 NOV (NAMPA) – An 18-year-old girl was Sunday raped at Sesfontein, allegedly by her uncle.
The Namibian Police Force’s (NamPol) crime investigation coordinator in the Kunene Region, Deputy Commissioner Rudolf Kanyetu told Nampa on Monday the girl is a Grade 9 learner.
The 25-year-old suspect is said to have followed her into the bushes when she went to relieve herself.
He then allegedly grabbed and threatened to kill her if she told anyone before raping her.
The man was arrested late Sunday and is expected to appear in the Opuwo Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
