OMUSHESHE, 02 NOV (NAMPA) - The Ongwediva Town Council on Tuesday donated dictionaries to the Onamutayi Circuits’ Omusheshe Combined School in the Oshana Region.
Handing over the donation valued at N.dollars 2 500, Ongwediva Mayor Angelina Angula emphasised the need for learners to take education seriously because not everyone has the privilege to study due to different circumstances.
Angula said the regional council wishes to achieve youth development in the region by assisting schools where possible.
“The donated items should be used as intended to benefit every child at this school.”
The Omusheshe Combined School Board Chairperson, Theresia Nghidipo expressed gratitude on behalf of the school and parents, saying she is certain the learners will put the dictionaries to good use.
She noted that the donated material is a great asset to the school’s library.
