Oneshila Service Station robbery suspects arrested

OSHAKATI, 25 OCT (NAMPA) – The police in the Oshana Region have arrested six men in connection with an armed robbery at the Oneshila Service Station in Oshakati early Tuesday.
Sergeant Frieda Shikole of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Public Relations Unit in the region told Nampa all six suspects were arrested later in Oshakati.
Reports have it that they robbed employees of the said service station of more than N.dollars 4 000 at gunpoint at about 03h00 before fleeing the scene.
According to Shikole, three of the suspects entered the shop at the service station, while the other three waited outside.
They pretended to be customers before pulling out firearms and pointing it at the employees.
Police officials recovered N.dollars 4 110 and confiscated the two firearms the suspects used in the robbery, said Shikole.
They are expected to appear in the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
