Shihepo to fight for Commonwealth title

WINDHOEK, 06 SEP (NAMPA) - Namibian light heavyweight boxer Wilberforce 'Black Mamba' Shihepo will fight Callum Johnson for the vacant Commonwealth Light Heavyweight title on 24 September 2016 in Manchester, United Kingdom.
A media statement issued by MTC Nestor Sunshine and Fitness Academy on Monday said the fight is promoted by one of the world’s biggest promoters, Matchroom Promotions.
Shihepo, 33, has a record of ‎31 fights, 23 wins, 8 losses. He goes into the fight with two consecutive wins and will be looking to add the lucrative Commonwealth title to his name.
“Shihepo is an experienced fighter, but he will take no chances against Callum. We will go there to register a win; fighting outside the country is never easy but Shihepo has done it many times and we go and make Namibia proud,” Tobias said.
Shihepo's last fight was in Windhoek against Maike Gogoda from Malawi in December last year.
‎Callum 'The One' Johnson, 31, has a record of 15 fights with 15 straight wins. He goes into the fight looking to protect his excellent record.
Johnson's last fight was against Norebert Szekeres in June 2016 in Manchester
The fight will take place at the famous Manchester Arena.
