Three raped over the weekend

WINDHOEK, 04 SEP (NAMPA) – Three girls were raped in the Omusati and Hardap regions over the weekend.
At Omatadiva village in the Omusati Region, two girls aged eight and six were allegedly raped by their uncle on Saturday at around 07h00.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Head of Media Relations, Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi said at the weekly crime briefing on Sunday a man aged 19 was arrested after it was determined that he raped the two girls.
The minors complained about abdominal pain and was taken to the hospital, where it was detected that they were sexually violated.
The suspect was arrested and the police investigation continues.
In Rehoboth in the Hardap Region, two suspects aged 22 and 26 were arrested for allegedly forcefully dragging an 18-year-old girl from a bar near the Block E residential area to a nearby room, where they raped her.
The incident occurred at around 20h00 on Friday.
Police investigations continue.
