THE NAMIBIAN POLICE FORCE SPECIAL RESERVE FORCE WERE TUESDAY CALLED TO THE SCENE AND FIRED ABOUT FOUR WARNING SHOTS AT ABOUT 17H00 TO DISPERSE THE ABOUT 470 STRUGGLE KIDS BLOCKING ENTRANCE TO THE SWAPO PARTY HEADQUARTERS IN KATUTURA AND HOLDING PARTY STAFF HOSTAGE.
THE STRUGGLE KIDS MARCHED TO THE RULING PARTY HEADQUARTERS IN PROTEST TO THEIR EVICTION FROM PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE RULING PARTY ABOUT 30 KILOMETRES OUTSIDE WINDHOEK.
THEY RECEIVED AN EVICTION NOTICE LAST FRIDAY, WHICH STATED THEIR UNRULY BEHAVIOUR AND REFUSAL TO RELOCATE TO ANOTHER LOCATION AS REASONS FOR EVICTION.
THEY ARE DEMANDING JOBS FROM GOVERNMENT.
