Two babies die of unknown causes at Rundu

RUNDU, 10 JUL (NAMPA) - A four-month-old baby girl died at Sauyemwa settlement in Rundu on Saturday.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s acting Crime Investigation Coordinator for Kavango East, Detective Chief Inspector Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Sunday she had slept in the same bed as her parents, adding that it is not known how the baby died.
The baby’s mother, Veronika Muhoka realised at around 04h00 Saturday morning that she had died.
She has been identified as Hermine Sindimba.
In a similar incident at Kehemu settlement in Rundu, a two-month-old baby girl died of unknown causes at around 19h00 on Friday.
The baby, known only by the name Kasiku, was found dead by her mother after she had spent the day with her father.
A post-mortem is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
