Three men arrested for attempted robbery at Rundu

RUNDU, 19 JUN (NAMPA) - Three men were on Friday arrested for attempted armed robbery at the Kayengona village in the Kavango East Region.
The victim was shot in the head but survived.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)Â’s acting Regional Crime InvestigationsÂ’ Coordinator for Kavango East, Detective Chief Inspector Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Sunday the suspects allegedly attempted to rob a shebeen known as 'So Nice Baby' on Friday.
The trio allegedly held owner Jacob Sinkumba at gunpoint and demanded cash from him.
It is not clear how Sinkumba got shot in the head.
Sinkumba is recovering in the Rundu State Hospital and his condition is stable.
The suspects, between the ages of 31 and 40 years, were arrested the same day and are expected to appear in court this week.
Police investigations continue.
