WINDHOEK, 30 MAY (NAMPA) – A 24-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at the Katutura Intermediate Hospital on Friday after he was attacked by four men, apparently in an argument over kapana.
He has been identified as Hosea Pandeinge Simeon.
The incident took place at the Single Quarters in the Havana informal area between 22h00 and 23h00.
City Police Spokesperson, Cillie Auala informed Nampa on Sunday that an argument broke out between the five men over kapana – a popular dish of meat grilled over an open fire.
The suspects aged between 18 and 20 allegedly stabbed Simeon and hit him on the head with rocks.
The deceased was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on the same night.
Two suspects were arrested on Friday, while the other two managed to flee.
The two suspects who fled the scene however handed themselves over to the police on Saturday.
The deceased's next of kin have been informed.
