Rundu shooting suspect still at large

RUNDU, 17 SEP (NAMPA) – The Namibian Police at Rundu are yet to arrest the person who shot and killed a 19-year-old man here some three weeks ago.
The deceased, identified as Ezekiel Limbondo, was shot in the chest on 01 September, and died on the spot.
He was a resident of the Kehemu informal settlement on the outskirts of Rundu.
The incident occurred at around 04h00 near the Atlantic Fish supermarket while the deceased was walking home alone, apparently from a local pub.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Kavango Regional Crime Investigations’ Co-ordinator, Deputy Commissioner Willie Bampton told Nampa on Tuesday that the suspect remains at large, but police investigations continue.
Details surrounding the shooting incident are still sketchy at this stage as the suspect fled the scene after allegedly shooting Limbondo.
