UPDATE: HELICOPTER CRASH OUTSIDE WINDHOEK

WINDHOEK, 20 APR (NAMPA) – A senior official in the Directorate of Aircraft Accident Investigation in the Ministry of Works and Transport on Wednesday morning confirmed a helicopter crash outside Windhoek.
Deputy Director of Prevention Magnus Abraham said one person has been confirmed dead, while two others have been injured.
Abraham said the private helicopter crashed at Molteblick on the eastern outskirts of Windhoek.
The casualties were airlifted from the scene of the accident at about 10h00.
The incident was reported at about 07h30 and the cause is under investigation.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) and aviation officials are at the scene.
