Namibia U-25 bowlers hit Bloemfontein greens

WINDHOEK, 29 MAR (NAMPA) – Four Under-25 youth bowlers are representing Namibia at the youth bowling tournament that is currently underway in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
The Namibian Bowling Association (NBA) selected its team to represent the country at the Under-25 Inter-District Tournament, which is being hosted by Bowls South Africa.
The competition kicked off on Tuesday and ends on Saturday.
More than 200 of South Africa’s leading junior bowlers are competing in the tournament.
A media statement availed to Nampa on Monday by the NBA said each of the selected players in the team showed great talent when they won national competitions.
One of the team members, Cabous Olivier, represented Namibia at the Junior Commonwealth Games as well as the Atlantic Championships in 2015.
The statement noted this competition underway in South Africa is key to the development of lawn bowls in Namibia.
The selected players are:
JP Fouche, Lurock Viljoen, Jano Viljoen and Cabous Olivier. The manager is Jean Viljoen.
