Ongwediva-Ondangwa accident claims one life

ONGWEDIVA, 28 MAR (NAMPA) - A 21-year-old man lost his life in a collision between Ongwediva and Ondangwa on Saturday.
Oshana Regional Police Commissioner Rauha Amwele confirmed the accident in an interview with Nampa on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Alfred Iyambo from Eheke village in the Oshana Region.
His next of kin have been notified.
Amwele said two sedan vehicles with two and three passengers, respectively collided at about 08h00 close to the Ondangwa Airport.
“One of the sedans, a Toyota Corolla which was reportedly driving from a village between the two towns, unexpectedly drove onto the road, causing the accident,” the commissioner said.
Four people sustained serious injuries and were admitted to the Onandjokwe State Hospital on Saturday.
