WINDHOEK, 21 MAR (NAMPA) - A Zimbabwean national was Sunday electrocuted at the Uupindi location of Oshakati in the Oshana Region.
Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol), Slogan Matheus told a media conference here on Monday the 36-year-old man was electrocuted while connecting a stove to the electricity circuit.
He was immediately rushed to the Ongwediva Medi Park hospital, where he died moments later.
The deceased person was identified as Knowledge Mazalu.
His next of kin have already been informed.
Police investigations continue.
In a separate incident, a 30-year-old man died after he fell from the roof of a building under construction at Outapi in the Omusati Region on Friday.
The incident took place about 11h00 at the Outapi New Complex Construction site.
It is reported the victim and other workers were busy repairing a leakage on the roof of the building, when he lost his footing and fell, sustaining serious injuries to his head.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Outapi State Hospital, after which he was transferred to the Oshakati Intermediate Hospital but succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.
The deceased was identified as Simon Petrus, a resident of the Olukekete village of the Outapi Constituency.
His next of kin have already been informed and police investigations continue to establish the exact cause of the accident.
