NZINZE, 13 MAR (NAMPA) - A truck carrying a large quantity of construction stones overturned on Saturday at the Nzinze Village in Kavango West Region.
The truck, belonging to Armstrong CC, was travelling from Tsumeb to Kapako when it overturned at about 20h00.
Deputy Commissioner of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Kavango West Region, Uaakisa Ndjavera told Nampa on Sunday the driver, identified as Kauma Gotfried, 54, sustained slight injuries while passenger, Morgan Karupu, 28, escaped unhurt.
Ndjavera explained that an oncoming vehicle that did not dim its headlights, caused poor vision for the truck driver.
The truck swerved off the road and drove into a water canal, causing it to overturn.
