Former ECB head Simasiku has died

WINDHOEK, 24 FEB (NAMPA) – Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Electricity Control Board (ECB), Siseho Simasiku has passed on.
He was 69.
Simasku died in the Katutura State Hospital on Monday after he was admitted there for about four months.
The late Simasiku's daughter, Grace, confirmed the death of her father, describing him as a caring and good man.
“We lost a caring father who has been always there for us,” she told Nampa on Wednesday.
Simasiku was at the helm of the ECB from 2000 until 2013 when he went on retirement.
He left behind his wife, Rennette, and six children.
The family is gathering at their house at Windhoek's Auasblick residential area.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later stage.
