Frieda Kishi heading CRAN Board

WINDHOEK, 03 FEB (NAMPA) – Cabinet has endorsed the appointment of Frieda Naapopye Kishi as the new chairperson of the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN)’s Board of Directors.
Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Tjekero Tweya on Wednesday announced the appointment of Kishi and five other members of the Board during a feedback session with the media on Cabinet decisions taken during the first Cabinet meeting for 2016, which was held at State House on Tuesday.
Kishi, who is also a defence lawyer and Director of Weder, Kauta and Hoveka Incorporated, became a Board member in August 2015.
The members who will serve on the CRAN Board of Directors are Beverly Gawanas-Vugs, a financial accountant at the National Housing Enterprise (NHE); Anne-Doris Nastassja Hans-Kaumbi, a director at Ueitele and Hans Legal Practitioners; executive committee member at the Namibia Football Association, Mpasi Haingura; Moses Molatendi Moses, a member of the National Council of the National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST); and Andreas Nekongo.
The new Board of Directors will serve for a period of three years, effective from January 2016 to February 2019.
