OTJIWARONGO, 02 FEB (NAMPA) - Three people survived a crash between a sedan and truck collided outside Otjiwarongo on Tuesday afternoon.
The spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha told Nampa in an interview on Tuesday that the 47-year-old male driver of the sedan sustained injuries on the head and left leg.
He was taken to the Otjiwarongo State Hospital shortly after the accident and is receiving medical attention, Mbeha said.
The 28-year-old truck driver and his passenger escaped the accident unhurt.
The preliminary police investigations indicate that the accident occurred when the sedan entered the tarred road from a farm situated south-east of Otjiwarongo while the truck was approaching from the direction of Okahandja.
The two vehicles collided head-on.
