Tsumkwe woman allegedly hangs herself

OTJIWARONGO, 30 AUG (NAMPA) - A 58-year-old woman’s body was found hanging in the bathroom of her home at Tsumkwe on Thursday evening.
According to the Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Otjozondjupa Regional Public Relations Officer, Maureen Mbeha, the deceased has been identified as Xn Xao.
Xao’s next of kin have been informed of her death.
Mbeha said preliminary investigations by the police have shown that the deceased allegedly hanged herself with a rope in the absence of her children and husband, with whom she shared a home at the Tsumkwe Agricultural Breeding Station.
Xao did not leave a suicide note behind.
Police investigations into the matter continue under inquest docket no. 07/2013.
