Rundu Businessman Assaulted By Seven Men

KEHEMU, 22 MAY (NAMPA) - A Rundu businessman was assaulted by seven armed men at his house at the Kehemu informal settlement on the outskirts of Rundu on Saturday.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Crime Investigations? Co-ordinator here, Deputy Commissioner Willie Bampton told Nampa on Wednesday the suspects allegedly entered the house through a window and demanded money from the victim, Elias Castro Bonge, age unknown.
One shot was allegedly fired into the air and hit the ceiling of the victim's bedroom.
Bampton said the victim was beaten several times on the head with a pistol, and suffered injuries.
The suspects, who were heard speaking Oshiwambo, only managed to grab a mobile phone which belongs to the victim?s wife, and fled the scene.
No arrest has yet been made.
