WINDHOEK, 07 JAN (NAMPA) - A security guard at a garden refuse dump site close to Pionierspark in Windhoek on Thursday morning made a gruesome discovery when he came across two charred bodies.
The security guard had seen smoke coming from the site at around 06h30 and went to investigate.
The two bodies, most likely those of young girls, were still smouldering when the guard discovered them.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson, Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi told Nampa on Thursday at around 10h30 that members of the police's serious crime unit were still on the scene to establish what happened.
DNA tests will have to be done, Shikwambi said.
She further called on anyone who might have missing family members to contact the Namibian Police to assist in identifying the bodies.
