Two pedestrians run over at Tsumeb

WINDHOEK, 20 DEC (NAMPA) - A pedestrian died on the spot after he was hit by a station wagon in Tsumeb on Saturday.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson Chief Inspector Kaunapawa Shikwambi told Nampa upon enquiry on Sunday the accident occurred at around 01h22.
The deceased has been identified as the 24-year-old Jackson Aruab. His next of kin have been informed.
No other details were provided on the accident, and police investigations into the matter continue.
Meanwhile, another pedestrian died instantly outside the same town after he was run over on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Alfred Neibeb, allegedly died some 10 kilometres outside Tsumeb. He was 25.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and has not yet been arrested.
Neibebs next of kin have been informed and police efforts to trace the driver continue.
Shikwambi said anyone with information on the accident should contact the police or ask the driver to hand himself over to the police.
