Grade 10 and 12 HL results out next Thursday

WINDHOEK, 10 DEC (NAMPA) - The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture will release the Grade 10 Junior Secondary Certificate (JSC) and Grade 12 National Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) Higher-Level results on 17 December 2015.
Grade 12 Ordinary-Level examination learners will receive their results no later than 15 January 2016.
A media statement issued on Wednesday by the ministry’s public relations officer, Johanna Absalom read that the number of markers involved in the Grade 10 answer scripts this year were 1 914, while 240 markers were involved in the Grade 12 Higher-Level subjects.
This year 48 989 candidates, comprising of 37 457 full-time and 11 532 part-time candidates, were registered for the Grade 10 JSC examination at 1 674 junior secondary schools and 216 part-time tuition centres.
A total of 61 159 candidates entered for Grade 12 NSSC examinations of which 13 172 entered for more than one Higher-Level subject.
She explained that the number of Grade 10 full-time and part-time candidates increased by 2 643, which is 5.7 per cent more than last year.
The number of Grade 12 Higher-Level candidates increased by 1 093 candidates, which is an increase of 8.9 per cent.
The results will be available on the website of the Directorate National Examinations and Assessment at www.dnea.gov.na or the ministry's website: www.moe.gov.na.
Results can also be accessed via text message at 2929; 99099 or 55755 by sending the name of examination followed by the learner’s surname and name; or type of examination followed by the learner’s full examination number to any of the numbers mentioned. Example: JSC Surname Name; or NSSCH Surname Name; or JSC 101E25002 or NSSCH 10HE250025 .
Both the websites and the SMS service will become active on Thursday, 17 December 2015 at 00h15.
