PRETORIA - Oscar Pistorius will appear in court on Tuesday, the NPA has confirmed. There is no indication from the State, however, as to whether or not it will oppose bail.

An NPA spokesperson said the State would reveal on Tuesday if it wants Pistorius behind bars pending his sentence. The NPA also said there was "no indication at this stage" from Pistorius's lawyers whether or not they intend to appeal SCA ruling.

Pistorius will appear before Deputy Judge President Aubrey Ledwaba. His lawyers have agreed he will appear in court tomorrow on basis of "voluntary surrender."

A date for his sentencing proceedings is expected to be set. Clarity as to whether or not his lawyers will try to appeal SCA ruling to Constitutional Court should become evident on Tuesday.
