Two men die in BMW outside Okahandja

OTJIWARONGO, 30 NOV (NAMPA) – Two men aged 24 and 29 died instantly when their BMW sedan experienced a tyre burst and rolled several times on the Otjiwarongo-Okahandja road on Sunday.
The accident occurred at approximately 15h15, some 40 kilometres north of Okahandja in the Otjozondjupa Region.
Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha told Nampa on Monday the men have been identified as Erastus Andreas and Amadhila Tangi Immanuel.
She said the police’s preliminary investigations indicate Andreas was driving the vehicle at the time of accident, while Immanuel and the 25-year old Paulus Luwaya who survived the accident with slight injuries, were passengers in the vehicle.
Luwaya was treated at the Okahandja State Hospital, and was discharged on Sunday afternoon.
A case of culpable homicide has been opened at the Okahandja Police Station under CR 99/11/2015.
Police investigations in the matter continue.
