Voting starts on time at government hall in Rundu Urban

RUNDU, 27 NOV (NAMPA) – Less than 50 people lined up at the Government Hall polling station in the Rundu Urban Constituency before the venue opened for voting in the Regional Council and Local Authority Elections on Friday.
The Permanent Secretary of Industrialisation, Trade and SME Development, Gabriel Sinimbo and his wife Verna Sinimbo were among this group of people eager to vote.
Verna is a Swapo-party contestant in the Local Authority Election for Rundu.
Party agents representing the DTA of Namibia, All People’s Party (APP), Swapo and the Rundu Concerned Citizens Association (RCCA) were the first people to cast their votes when the doors opened for voting at exactly 07h00, followed by the Sinimbo couple.
The Rundu Urban Constituency has 29 fixed polling stations.
Voting commenced at 07h00, and will end at 21h00.
