Friday declared a public holiday

WINDHOEK, 24 NOV (NAMPA) – Friday has been declared a public holiday.
A media statement issued by the Press Secretary in the Office of the President, Albertus Aochamub on Tuesday said this is to enable all Namibians to take part in the Regional Council and Local Authority Elections scheduled for Friday.
Ninety-five constituencies will be contesting the Regional Council Election, while 26 are uncontested. Fifty-two Local Authorities will be contested, while five will go uncontested.
