Geingob declares 27 Nov a Public Holiday

President Hage Geingob declared that the 27 November will be a public holiday so that Namibians can go to the polls to vote in elections.

Geingob said in the proclamation, "Under the powers vested in by section (13) of the Public Holidays Act, 1990 (Act No.26 of 1990), I hereby declare November 27, 2015 as a public holiday."

The proclamation was issued yesterday and will take immediate effect with this Friday being a public holiday.
