The Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) board has unanimously approved the appointment of Martin Inkumbi as chief executive officer.
Inkumbi who recently turned 41, has been acting CEO for the past six months after the departure of David Nujoma late last year.
The Bank’s former Head of Lending has been with the DBN for the past seven years, board Chairperson of the DBN, Elize Angula announced a few minutes ago.
He previously worked for the Bank of Namibia as a researcher in banking statistics, while he previously also had a stint with First National Bank of Namibia as corporate banking manager.
Four external candidates and one other internal candidate had applied for the job.
