Namibia face Kenya in Intercontinental Cricket Cup

WINDHOEK, 29 OCT (NAMPA) – The Namibian cricket team played Kenya on Friday in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Intercontinental Cup in the capital.
The two nations will play again on Sunday.
The Intercontinental Cup is played over two years and Namibia is among the eight participating countries.
Namibia came third after losing three wickets against Ireland on Tuesday. Ireland bowled out Namibia for 251 in the first innings and continued with their effectiveness in the second hit, reducing it to 169 for 7 by the end of the third day, with Namibia only managing 212.
Namibia is an associate member of the ICC, and is ranked number one in Africa and number 18 in the world.
The leading team, Ireland, who defeated United Arab Emirates by an innings and 26 runs in the opening tie, has 40 points followed by Netherlands with 26 points and Namibia in third place with 20 points.
Sunday's game will start at 09h30 at the Wanderers cricket grounds in Pioneespark, and entrance is free.
