Three suicides reported: NamPol

WINDHOEK, 11 OCT (NAMPA) - Three people ended their lives by hanging themselves in several parts of the country, while a one-year-old boy lost his life when the shack he was sleeping in caught fire over the weekend.
The Head of Media Relations at the Namibian Police Force (NamPol), Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi said in a media statement availed to Nampa on Sunday the lifeless body of Petrus Simon, 42, was found hanging from a tree in the capital on Friday.
His body was discovered at about 16h20 in the Lafrenz Industrial Area.
Simon left behind a suicide note. His next of kin have been informed and police investigations continue.
Also on Friday, the 42-year-old Alfeus Uirab hanged himself in his shack in Richard Kamuhuka Street at 11h50.

In the //Karas Region the police at the harbour town of Lüderitz reported that on Friday at about 19h00, Kauko Kalush-Kalush (age unknown) was found hanging from a rope in his room.
The incident occurred at ‘New Location’.
No suicide note was left and his next of kin is informed.
Meanwhile, the Henties Bay police in the Erongo Region have opened an inquest docket following the death of a one-year-old boy there.
The boy - Brandley Mohammed Weyulu - lost his life after a fire broke out in the shack on Saturday at about 00h20 in Iipumbu ya Shilongo Street.
The cause of the fire is still to be determined. Weyulu’s next of kin have been informed.
