Angolan woman injured in road accident near Ondangwa

OSHAKATI, 14 AUG (NAMPA) - An Angolan woman was admitted to the Onandjokwe Lutheran Hospital near Ondangwa after she sustained serious head injuries in a vehicle accident in the Oshana Region on Tuesday.
Deputy Commander of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the region, Commissioner Rauha Amwele identified the victim as Kauna Tunukeipo from the Okamanya village in Angola.
She said during a media briefing here on Wednesday the victim was crossing the Ondangwa-Ongwediva main road near the Okapya village towards the Eheke gravel road when she was bumped by a Toyota Cobra vehicle.
Tunukeipo, 29, was instantly rushed to the Onandjokwe Hospital, where she was still receiving urgent medical attention.
Police investigations into the accident continue.
