At the same occasion, Old Mutual Group Chief Executive Officer, Gim Victor noted that 4 154 athletes participated in the four legs of series this year.
“For those who have conquered this year, we salute you, and to those who have much still to conquer, we wish you victory. In our book, victory means that together, we can do great things,” he stressed.
Over the past 13 years, Old Mutual committed over N.dollars 3.5 million towards this annual race.
Old Mutual this year increased the monetary prizes available to winners by up to 25 per cent in some categories, ranging from N.dollars 1 400 for first place to N.dollars 250 for fifth place per each of the four legs.
The overall winners, Haitope and Namupala also get free entry and participation to the Two Oceans Marathon in South Africa scheduled to take place on the Saturday over the Easter weekend next year.
