Dotiwala selected as NAMAs 2014 judge

The Executive Committee of the Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs), has already revealed one of the judges that will make the last call on who gets what at the event next year.

Jasmine Dotiwala, a broadcaster, producer, director and columnist from the United Kingdom made the panel which was changed after the awards came under scrutiny this year.
Jasmine Dotiwala is the former head of MTV Base International and is acclaimed for breaking new, young, British talent, along with fresh, ground-breaking and edgy TV programming featuring A-List celebrities including Eminem, Jay-Z, Destiny's Child, Usher, and Mariah Carey.  She is also the columnist for The Huffington Post and The Voice.
“I'm honoured to be a part of the judging panel for the Namibian Annual Music Awards. I'm thrilled to play a part in bringing this one-of-a-kind show to audiences across the nation. We're going to have a blast! I’m excited to be able to experience the culture and music of the land with my fellow judges. It will be an inspiring experience,” Dotiwala says.
She adds: “Experiencing what the country has to offer musically, and informing the rest of the world about Namibian talent, is an exciting concept! It promises to be an exciting event for all music lovers in the country, and it will no doubt provide opportunities for businesses in these difficult economic times and it will allow Namibia to raise its international profile. NAMA is a great event at an ideal moment in time.”
Dotiwala is executive news editor of the new London 360 News TV Magazine Show at the Media Trust.  
Growing up in Southall along with music artists like Jay Sean, Jasmine has worked her way up into the media industry contributing to various publications and been involved in numerous music specials for MTV in the United Kingdom.
Dotiwala is a 12-year veteran in the media and music industry and has been involved in numerous music specials for MTV, Sky and Channel 4.
