SWAKOPMUND, 13 AUG (NAMPA) A lawyer appeared in the Swakopmund Magistrates Court on a charge of driving under the influence of an intoxicating substance, and soon afterwards changed into his court attire to represent a client on a similar charge.

He was granted bail of N.dollars 4 000 for the driving offence, and N.dollars 1 000 for both charges of common assault and assault by threat.
The matter was postponed to 15 October this year, pending further investigations.
Immediately after he made his court appearance, Ahrens changed into his black lawyers robe and appeared in defence of his client, Nikolai Niederneter, who also stands accused of driving under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
Niederneter was granted bail of N.dollars 4 000, and his case was postponed to 16 October 2013.
