Man commits suicide at Okakarara

OTJIWARONGO, 02 SEP (NAMPA) – A 27-year-old man on Tuesday morning was found hanging from a tree with a wire around his neck and dead at Okakarara.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Otjozondjupa Chief Inspector, Naukalemo Andreas told Nampa in an interview on Tuesday that the deceased has been identified as Uendjiutukira Tjihoreko from Ombuyovakuru village in the Okakarara Constituency.
Andreas said Tjihoreko was found hanging from a tree with a wire around his neck in the field between Okakarara town and Ongombombonde village.
“It is not known to us what led to the suicide, as the deceased did not leave behind a suicide note,” said the police officer, adding that no foul play is suspected so far.
Andreas said an Inquest number 04/2015 has been opened at the Okakarara Police Station.
Police investigations continue.
