Car accident claims life of Rundu man

RUNDU, 31 AUG (NAMPA) – A 38-year-old man died in the Rundu State Hospital on Saturday after he lost control of the car he was driving and it overturned.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s acting Regional Crime Investigation Coordinator for Kavango East, Detective Chief Inspector Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Monday the deceased has been identified as Vitus Sitarara.
The accident took place at Tjeye village in the Kavango East Region’s Mashare Constituency at around 21h30.
Mubebo said the deceased was travelling on a gravel road from Rundu to Divundu when the accident occurred.
There were also four passengers between the ages of 19 and 44 years in the vehicle. All four sustained minor injuries.
Investigations into the matter continue and Sitarara’s next of kin have been informed.
