Chinese national found dead in Katima lodge

WINDHOEK, 11 AUG (NAMPA) - A 36-year-old Chinese national was found dead in his room at the Mukutsi River Lodge in Katima Mulilo on Sunday morning.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Head of Media Relations, Kauna Shikwambi said during the Sunday media briefing here that the deceased was allegedly partying the previous night with other Chinese nationals working for a construction company in the Zambezi Region, and went to bed late.
His next of kin are not yet informed, and police investigations are underway to determine the cause of death.
In the Kavango Region, a 21-year-old woman who, was on her way home from an entertainment outlet, was allegedly threatened with a broken bottle, raped and robbed off her watch and necklace.
The incident took place at the Dr Romanus Kampungu Sports Fields on Saturday at about 00h00. No one has been arrested yet in connection with the incident, and police investigations continue.
In the Ohangwena Region, 23-year-old Ndakondjele Germany Haipinge was found hanging dead from a rope in the garage of a house at the Ohangwena Better House Township on Sunday at about 01h15.
No suicide note was left behind, and no foul play is suspected.
His next of kin are informed, and police investigations continue.
